How to use input noise in PSPICE circuit? PSPICE Schematic Probes are placed in the circuit to measure the voltage across the resistor and the current through the inductor. For this source the frequency in Hz is 2/(2π) = 1/π = 0.3183. What are the sinusoidal input values in PSpice?

PSpice is a PC version of SPICE and HSpice is a version that runs on workstations and larger computers.

SPICE (Simulation Program for Integrated Circuits Emphasis) is a general purpose analog circuit simulator that is used to verify circuit designs and to predict the circuit behavior. In order to determine the common-mode gain, you must put in a pure common-mode input (Vin1 = Vin2). Then the differential gain is computed as Vout/(Vin1-Vin2).

In order to determine the differential gain (in theory or in PSpice), you must put in a pure differential AC input (Vin1 = -Vin2). Since the voltage is positive the current is negative to give you a negative power. It uses the same convention for sources and loads, which is that + power is absorbing and – power is delivering. An optional second source can also be used to run a nested sweep. DC sweep can be used with any source that includes a DC offset variable. It increments the voltage or current of a selected source in predefined steps over a range of values. What is a DC sweep?ĭC sweep performs a sequence of DC operating point simulations. You can add an advance marker to measure the phase of voltage, too. To access them, go to PSpice in the menu, Markers, Advanced, Select dB Magnitude of Voltage, and place the marker on the output now. You can also use a set of advance markers in PSpice to plot dB gain and phase of circuit. A VAC will be “inactive” for Transient analysis. The VAC is only for AC Analysis whereas the VSIN has SINE source parameters and an AC parameter for the AC magnitude, usually set to 1, so that you can use the same source for AC, or Transient analysis. If you have any parts left over, just select them and press “Delete”. To flip them, press “Ctrl+F” (or Edit “Flip”). To rotate parts so that they will fit in you circuit nicely, click on the part and press “Ctrl+R” (or Edit “Rotate”). Just select the part and drag it where you want it. PSpice utilizes the implied “1” and “2” ends for its handling of current directions and voltage polarities, for example, it represents current as entering a device from its “1” end and leaving its “2” end, and it represents a positive voltage at its “1” end with respect to its “2” end. How does PSpice indicate current direction? To calculate phase shift, measure the time difference between a peak on the input waveform and the nearest peak on the output waveform.

To calculate gain in PSpice, simply divide the output voltage amplitude by the input voltage amplitude. How do you find the phase shift in PSpice?
